90 Credit Diploma in Creative Media

I have recently completed two years in Creative Media- 90 credit diploma in Cardiff and Vale college. I have completed assignments that include vision mixing for a live taping, filming for a single camera production, creating idents for TV channels and completing relevant pre- production, production and post production paperwork using Microsoft office, photoshop and other adobe software. I have also learnt about working in the media and have learnt about copyrighting, legal issues and time management/ organisation when working.  

 

Career Ready

In 2017 I took part in an extra curriculum course called Career Ready. This coursed involved a number of master classes and visits to companies such as Barclays, General and Legal and Lloyds Bank. I learnt about the importance of professionalism and networking within a business and also time keeping and organisation. Throughout this I had a mentor from SSE who helped answer any questions about going into the working world and supported me through the process of the course. At the end of the course I completed a four-week internship at SSE call centre Cardiff, learning about the work and process of the company dealing with customers and their accounts set up with the company.
